The Tweedies (Tweedys) came to Canada from both Scotland and Ireland during the 18th and 19th centuries, settling mainly in the Maritime Provinces and in Ontario.  Our family settled in Ontario and our great grandfather, Charles Tweedy made his home in Goderich.  At this point not much is known about Charles Tweedy's father and his origins.  Research is currently in progress.

Any information related to the family of Charles and Jennet will be greatly appreciated.(click here to contact us)

Special Thanks

Thanks and appreciation go to David Chosa for all the information on the Picard and Chosa families. And to Joan Cummings for photos, documents and great genealogical expertise on the Galagans, Sullivans and Cummings families
